Welcome

This is my first blog. My first attempt to convey ideas to the world at large. I wish to share and educate. Information, facts, ideas, and a little bit of Jedi wisdom. I will write about topics of interest to me and hopefully to you.

I should start by telling you that I am a Conservative Constitutionalist. I am a member of the Tea Party and I believe in the limitation of the federal government and its authority. The 10th amendment states "The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the States, are reserved to the States respectively, or to the people." We the people have the right to determine our own lives. I believe that the individual has the right and ability to determine what is best for themselves, their family, and their community. I see taxes as an invasion of our rights. While I do not advocate the repeal of all taxes, I do believe that our tax system needs a complete overhaul. The federal government was never intended to run every aspect of our lives and has severely overstepped its Constitutional mandates.

I also have a strong love of science fiction and most especially Star Wars.  I wish to be a Jedi and I don't mean that to sound childish or fanciful. I believe the Jedi represent a discipline that is admirable at the least. The combination of wisdom, knowledge, and physical prowess is something to strive for.

I believe that honesty, integrity, and morality are foundations of being both a Conservative and a Jedi. And that is why I consider myself to be a Conservative Jedi.
